Now it appears that Joe has won the election of the presidency. This is good news for each and every one of us who cares about every person in this country. However, I fear that if I choose one side of this conflict to write about I am excluding the other side and I don't wish to exclude anyone in this blog. My whole point is to step back and see and honor the oneness. Where is the oneness in a Biden win? Well I do feel that he will be president for all the people. There are people who will hate him because they don't want to be considered equal with blacks and Latinos and the poor, etc. They are comfortable as long as they have privilege over others. As long as they feel that they have the upper hand. What must that be like for one's identity to be tied up in being better than someone else? And then if you don't feel that you're being treated better than that other person, you feel that it's not fair. I'm just trying to understand why a person would be racist, misogynist, etc and all I can come up with is a lack of love. And being raised in an environment that is racist misogynistic, etc. When a person is raised that way they think that it's normal. So I will add ignorance to the list. So- lack of understanding and lack of love. The best I can figure these are the causes of hate.
What if we shared our love and our understanding? Though I don't understand racism, etc I think we need to understand that it is a thing, and it needs to be addressed. And it will not go away if we put every racist person away. It is a human problem that will require our compassion to resolve and heal.
