Nancy Ann Moore

I always knew that I was and would be an artist. In my earliest memories I am either creating art or observing the natural world around me. After high school I studied drawing and illustration at the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. My path took a detour however, when I began a family my own. For the next 31 years I devoted myself to raising my daughters and being a hairstylist. While I enjoyed those years of service, it was clear to me when it was time to shift my focus back to art.
I am inspired by the art of Claude Monet, Pierre Auguste Renoir, Mary Cassatt, Henri Matisse, Vincent van Gogh and Lorraine O’Grady among others.
When I am creating art, I love expressing whatever it is that I’m most excited about. Usually it’s butterflies, turtles, people or some other facet of the environment. I hope that the viewer finds my art to be a place that provides a refuge of comfort and beauty.
